This is a basic Italian staple. Can be served as a pasta course, a side with your meat…or just a delicious snack! Quick and easy to prepare. Full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 450 g (1 lb) dried Spaghetti
- 125 ml (1/2 c) Olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- Salt & Pepper
- Bunch of Parsley, chopped
Preparation
- Bring a pot of water to boil for the pasta. When the water comes to a boil, add salt. Add spaghetti, bring back to a boil, can cook 8-10 minutes until al dente.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet heat the olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and a pinch of salt. Cook over low heat stirring constantly for 3-4 minutes, or until garlic is golden. (Do not brown the garlic as this can cause a bitter taste.) Remove the pan from the heat.
- Drain the pasta and then add to the garlic oil. Toss to coat the pasta well. Then add chopped parsley and season with salt & pepper. Toss well. Serve immediately.
