Green Beans ~ Sauté Asian Style

Vittoria’s flavorful way to prepare fresh green beans. This is so delicious that you won’t want to stop eating them!

Ingredients

  • 1lb/500g fresh Green Beans
  • 2 TBSP Butter
  • 2 TBSP Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Ginger, finely julienned
  • 4 cloves Garlic, sliced
  • 3 TBSP Honey
  • 3 TBSP Soy Sauce
  • 1 hot Chili pepper, diced (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Hot Chili paste (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Using large sauté pan, over medium-high heat, add butter and olive oil.
  2. When the butter has melted, add the garlic and ginger. Sauté for a minute or so until the garlic is toasting.
  3. Add the beans, stir to coat well with the garlic and ginger sauce.
  4. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes or until the beans are al dente.
  5. Next add the honey, soy sauce, chili pepper and paste. You can adjust as desired to be more sweet or more spicy, to fit your taste.
