It is nut season here in Sicily. The walnut tree on our property has been dropping its fruit for a couple of weeks now. We discovered they were ripe early this season when our dog started to bring them into the living room for her snack. She loves to crack the nuts open and much on them!

Soon the chestnuts will be ready to pick just up the hill from us on the slope of mount Etna. We will share that with you soon.
